"Three Months and 4 Days" - This piece was my first attempt and I found it extremely difficult to give the puppy shading, because he's just so white. So, I ended up putting a lot of color into the painting and it really didn't come out exactly as I'd like.

"One Month and 23 Days" - This image was taken from a photograph taken the day I brought him home. We were actually in the car, but I thought a change of scenery would be more interesting for the painting--and there were trees whipping by in the background. The most difficult part of this piece was to actually get the paint onto the board and blend it. It was required I use masonite instead of canvas and it was just very difficult to get the paint on the way I wanted, let alone give depth to the image.

"Eight Months and 28 Days" - This was the largest painting I've ever attempted, but probably the most fun for me.

"Four Months and One Day" - The last piece in the series. It's not quite complete yet, but at the moment I need time away from it to figure out what to do with the background.
